Boles Independent School District is a Recognized District located on the banks of Lake Tawakoni, in Quinlan, Texas. Boles ISD currently educates 507 students. 322 of those are transfers from 13 neighboring districts. Boles ISD provides a small school atmosphere offering a cutting edge education filled with innovative programming.

Despite limited funding and economical obstacles, the staff and students of Boles ISD have achieved numerous accolades and accomplishments, past and present. Recently , the high school was awarded a grant to construct a Science and Technology building to house upper-level courses. Also, BHS has several Agricultural Mechanics Show teams that have earned blue ribbons in recent competitions. Athletically, our Varsity Boys Team earned a Bi-District Championship and all students are preparing for track season.

At Boles Middle School, students are participating in Robotics competitions for the 1st time this year. BMS also has numerous students participating in the Destination Imagination program this month

Boles Elementary School is also making great strides in education. BES Pre-K has met the Texas School Readiness requirements since 2009. The elementary campus has consistently been recognized through the National Title 1 Distinguished Schools Program.

Boles ISD welcomes visitors, and we are always looking for outstanding students.

Tawakoni Golf Club is an enjoyable and challenging golf course. If officially opened for play on November 1, 1971.

Tawakoni Golf Club is an old fashion eighteen hole East Texas course with relatively small Tiff Dwarf greens and Bermuda grass fairways that wind through large trees and water hazards. The course offers two sand traps, both being on the beautiful par 3# 11.

The length of the course ranges from:
Ladies tees at 5021 yards
Seniors tees at 5624 yards
Regular tees at 6295 yards
Championship tees at 6691 tees at 6691 yards

The course also offers a golf range and practice putting green; Golf lessons are available from a PGA Professionals John and Billy Lively.

Tawakoni Golf Club is home to the Quinlan Ford High School Golf Team and hosts the Quinlan Ford Junior Golf Association fund raising tournament held each April, The Education Foundation Tournament held each June and the LTRCC Columbus Day Golf tournament is also an annual event hosted at this club.

Tawakoni Golf Club is a family business operated by John, Billy and their sons, Jim and Trey respectively. Mark Bunch, golf course maintenance personnel, has been with the club for many years.
