Funtastic Bounce was formed in August 2010, we are a family owned and run small business in Quinlan Texas. We started out with 5 bouncing units and quickly invested in 4 more. Shortly after that we found and rented our building, and added 20 tables, 150 chairs, a cotton candy machine, a popcorn machine and a snow cone machine to our inventory. In late September we found Party’s 2 Go, for sale with enough inventory and bounce houses to complement Funtastic Bounce’s inventory. We purchased Party’s 2 Go and set up Quinlan’s only party store on October 4. Once we bought Party’s 2 Go, we had signs made and put up with our names and a small list of what we carry. We have our name and logo on coffee mugs at “the” hot spot to eat in town, and we have advertised with a small paper that is handed out at the local stores here in town. We will also be on the Kindergarten “take home folders” starting in the new year.

Our target customers are anyone having a birthday, a wedding, a bridal or baby shower or retirement party of any sort. We started with a target of birthday parties geared towards children ages 2 years to 13ish. We quickly learned, by customers coming in and calling that we needed to expand our number of bounce houses and offer party supplies as well. We now carry current children party themes such as Elmo, Dora, Sponge Bob, Cars, and Disney Princess, just to name a few. We also have generic children themes, such as solid colors, first birthday, and plain “Birthday” which can be either boy or girl partys. We also carry a large variety of Adult 21, 30, 40, 50 and over the hill type party supplies, hula parties, and 5o’s style themes. We have several “themed” bounce houses also, Dora, Sponge Bob, Princess, Spiderman. We carry several different combination units which are bounce houses with a slide attached. We have several water slides and slip and slide units which are our biggest rents during the summer. We also have generators to rent in case the party is not close enough to an electrical source.

We also carry a large variety of piñatas’ and have several vendors who can supply our customers with a theme specific piñata. As natural progressions of the party store, we now carry helium balloons in a large variety as well.

Our research has shown us that we are the only ‘party supply’ store within a 20 mile radius. Quinlan does have a Wal-Mart, however our customers like the one stop party convenience that we offer. Our prices are very competitive with Wal-Mart as well. There are no other bounce house companies that offer what we offer in a 20 mile radius either, a few small companies have come and gone over the past 2 years, according to our customers, but no one stays around.
